Clean Up Australia Day

Northern Beaches Council are inviting the community, schools and businesses to take part in Clean Up Australia Day, Sunday March 1st, for its 36th year to help keep our beautiful beaches clean and pristine.

If you are interested, then register a site to clean or volunteer at an already registered site near you!

Every year, dedicated volunteers and Council teams get stuck in and remove litter from our waterways, bushlands, parks, beaches and open spaces. Clean Up Australia Day is more than just a simple tidy up, it’s a movement which encourages everyone to value and protect the areas in which we live and share. Even the smallest of efforts can create a long-lasting change. Last year, an incredible 9,200 community volunteers banded together to clean up 98 sites across the Northern Beaches,  including 6 businesses, 38 schools and 54 community areas.

Since beginning in Clean Up Australia 1990, over 23 million volunteers have helped protect our environment. Let’s keep that incredible momentum going. Register your involvement today.
