The next working day for Reefcare Volunteers is Saturday September 5 - meeting at the top carpark past Long Reef Golf Club at 8:45, where we allocated equipment, gloves, weed bags et, sign on and then walk down to site to start work at 9am.

For the September working bee at Long Reef, we will have lots of plants, as NBC has organised for the contractors to remove a sway of bitou heading west of our site. This is quite a steep slope so small terraces will need to be built before we can put the tube stock in the ground.

For those that do not want to work in the steep areas of the site, there is plenty of asparagus fern all over, and heaps of Burr Medic all around our flat areas.

So come along to Reefcare on Saturday 5 September – there is enough work for an army of people.
